We are looking for reliable, conscientious and practical applicants, who are able to demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and development, to join our large team of staff working in busy departments, providing an efficient pharmacy service. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with staff and patients and perform duties accurately, including dispensing of prescriptions, stock top up, assembly of stock for wards as well as working on our reception desk.
Applicants need to hold a minimum of 3 GCSE grades A*-C and a minimum Level 1 in Numeracy and Literacy (GCSE Grade D/new grade 3). You must be aged 16 or over and have been resident in the UK/EU for the last three years. You must not hold a similar pharmacy qualification (including apprenticeship) at Level 2 or higher and you must not be in any form of formal government-funded education
The posts are demanding so we are looking for candidates who are ready for the challenge and share our values of care, honesty and accountability.
During your 18 month apprenticeship you will be gaining valuable, transferable skills and experiences that will enable you to apply for further jobs/posts in pharmacy, both in the NHS and other sectors.
These posts offer a great opportunity to study a level 2 apprenticeship in pharmacy services, alongside work based learning
Applicants must be prepared to work some weekends and participate in the Bank Holiday rota.
To meet the changing needs of the service, the duties and working times attached to these posts may be subject to reasonable change in the future.
If you are an individual who is keen to embrace change and look at new ways of working, and would like to be part of a large, friendly and supportive department this could be the opportunity you are looking for.
