A vacancy has arisen for the post of Finance Manager to work within the Surgery Health Group, with a budget in excess of £125m. The Health Group encompasses a range of services including, Acute Surgery, Theatres, Digestive Diseases, Specialist Surgery and Trauma.

The Health Group operates across two sites plus a number of remote clinics. This is an exciting time for the Health Group and Trust, with significant developments in the delivery of the Theatre function whilst also being a challenging time to deliver targets that are achieved within a shrinking financial envelope.

You will be responsible for providing professional financial advice to managers and clinicians, working closely with the divisional triumvirates. To succeed you will lead the provision of accurate and timely finance business intelligence, assist in the production of strategic financial plans, assist in developing major business cases and use Service Line Reporting and other benchmarking information to deliver the Health Group’s efficiency programme.

If you have a positive, business like attitude, a Passed Finalist with an ambition to obtain full professional accounting qualification awarded by a UK FRC regulated accounting body i.e. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA (or equivalent) and significant experience of in a complex organisation,we would like to hear from you.

You should also have demonstrable experience of option appraisals, working as part of multi-disciplinary team and positively influencing and leading others on financial issues that may run counter to their instincts.
