Owing to the well-earned retirement of one of our own, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated, qualified and experienced HR Manager to work within our HR Advisory Team.
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust operates a centralised model of providing HR services and the role of the HR Manager is intrinsic to its success.
There are four HR Managers in the structure working together to support the Head of Workforce and their nominated HRBP to deliver strategically whilst managing the provision of a professional and responsive operational HR service to their assigned Health Group/Directorates.
The successful applicant will be expected to take a lead role in managing transformational change initiatives and projects, and in supporting the Organisational Development agenda.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of highly specialised guidance and advice on complex HR matters ensuring all activity is supported by robust policies and procedures and undertaken in a culture of inclusion & diversity which is core to the organisation’s signature behaviours.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in a Human Resources related field and/or hold a CIPD post graduate (Level 7) qualification. They must possess good judgement, sound decision making and the ability to influence.
Effective partnership working with our trade union colleagues will be key to success. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills together with a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to manage and interpret information accurately. They must possess up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice at an advanced level and have extensive experience of complex casework management. Additionally, and critical to this appointment, the successful candidate must be able to work well under pressure with competing demands at the same time as supporting and managing a team effectively to deliver a respected and credible service.
This post is a part time appointment (30 hours per week). The primary service assigned to this post at this time is the Surgery Health Group, however supporting a centralised model, portfolios can and do change.
