Are you looking for a senior post in a busy and developing environment within our Acute Operating Theatres? We are looking to recruit to our major trauma theatres and require candidates who can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work and who have commitment, motivation and enthusiasm to drive the development of our services.
The successful candidate will be prepared to rotate between the disciplines of PACU, Theatres and Anesthetics working within a busy environment and will be forward thinking and passionate about delivering a high standard of care.
Applicants should have an enthusiastic approach to teaching students and junior members of staff. You must have a clear idea regarding your career development and be a team player with a flexible attitude to meet the service needs.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring the effective running of the department, providing clinical leadership and managerial support in the absence of the Charge Nurse/ODP, working as a highly skilled member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team, practising a high standard of clinical care and being key to improve the patient’s experience. The post holder will supervise the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care during their span of duty and support and encourage the concept of team working, team development and collaboration between team members
The post requires 24 hour rotation and weekend working.
** Salary relates to year 2 of 3 year NHS pay deal
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
