An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Matron/Manager who wishes to play a lead role in the on-going development of Theatre services within the Trust. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate continuing professional development relevant to the Theatre speciality with a minimum of two years’ current experience in a band 7 post within a Theatre setting.

You must be a committed, enthusiastic and highly organised individual who can respond appropriately to the many conflicting priorities of the acute theatre environment, whilst co-ordinating and monitoring efficient and effective clinical activities. With a proven ability to lead, manage and direct a team, you will be required to provide continuity in dealing with and overseeing operational management issues on a daily basis.

You must possess the excellent communication and negotiation skills required to influence, motivate, support and assist in the integration of the Trust-wide multidisciplinary teams. You will have demonstrated a desire for self-development, and an ability to provide teaching and education to staff at all levels.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for someone with the motivation and clinical credentials to develop the Unit to support the necessary changes in service provision and delivery.
