An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and motivated individual who can adapt their working style to suit the needs of the Service to act as the first point of contact using a range of patient systems. 

We are a busy Therapy Department supporting all inpatient and outpatient staff in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy across Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital. Patients attend our outpatient services on the 2nd floor and we also organise for equipment to be ordered for our inpatients across all wards. This is a physical role and the ability to use own initiative is required. 

Supporting clinical staff in clinics to assist.

The role is primarily based at Hull Royal across 2 offices, but there may be need to cover Castle Hill Hospital. 

 

Main duties of the job

Arriving/departing patients for their appointments, booking, cancelling and re-arranging appointments for the outpatient services based on the 2nd floor Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Dept. Support inpatient staff who are based on the 1st floor with the need to cover the desk when required.

Ordering equipment to be delivered to the Department or wards and ensuring stock levels are kept to a high level. To liaise with senior management if stock levels are low.  Ordering of cleaning & office supplies.

Manage shared inboxes to receive referrals and manage the referrals ensuring appointments are booked in a timely manner.

Manage waiting lists/referrals ensuring staff and managers are kept up to date on waiting times in clinics.

General in-house tasks i.e. cleaning of equipment, sling checks, hoist checks of which all training be given,
