Therapy Assistant (2 Posts)
Part Time: 30 hours Monday – Friday – Please note there will be a requirement to contribute to weekend working to support the 7 day service.
Base: Castle Hill Hospital, although there is a requirement to be able to work at any site within the Trust.
We are looking for enthusiastic team members to complement our Therapy Inpatient Service.
Post 1: Oncology and Haematology (including Infectious Diseases) Therapy Team.
Post 2: Critical Care and Surgery Therapy Team.
There may be a requirement to support other clinical areas according to service need.
The successful candidates should be adaptable and accepting of change to support the future development of these posts.
Both these posts will provide support to qualified Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists both in direct patient treatment and non-clinical duties associated with the running of the service.
Relevant previous experience in direct patient care is essential for the post as well as a NVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent. Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Assistant or carer would be desirable.
We offer excellent in-service training and there is supervision in all clinical areas, personal development is a high priority and the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to developing new skills.
