We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Dosimetrist to join our hard working and friendly treatment planning team. The post-holder will assist the Lead Dosimetrist in the provision of the radiotherapy treatment planning and mould room service.

The Radiotherapy Department is located in the award winning, purpose-built Queen’s Centre building based at the Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. The Department is equipped with Varian linacs with OBI and VMAT, and ARIA Oncology Information System. Treatment planning is performed with Varian Eclipse and Philips Big Bore CT (including 4DCT), MR and PET images. IMRT and VMAT planning techniques are routinely used for the majority of radical treatment sites and we have an established Lung SABR service. The department also has an Xstrahl superficial x-ray unit, Papillon Contact unit and a dedicated HDR brachytherapy suite.  The department is the first in the North of England to have a Varian Halcyon Linac clinically treating patients.

Applications are invited from registered Clinical Technologists or those who are close to completion of the accredited PTP or IPEM training scheme enabling them to become registered. Applicants should be enthusiastic, hardworking, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will have significant experience of 3D CRT, IMRT and VMAT planning techniques.
