This is a rare and exciting opportunity to jointly lead the therapy service for people with a lower limb amputation working with multidisciplinary teams across the Trust and beyond in a variety of settings. It is expected that the successful candidate will work closely with another part time Clinical Lead to jointly operationally manage the service in addition to carrying a shared clinical caseload.
We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic clinician with excellent communication skills who is stimulated by challenge. This is a key post in the coordination of the local service and will involve working with inpatients, outpatients, in clinics and treating patients in their home environment. In addition, as one of the lead Therapists for Hull and East Yorkshire’s Artificial Limb Unit, you will act as a source of advice and support by working closely with other Therapists both within and outside the Trust.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate relevant highly specialised clinical skills, leadership and service development experience as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates for this part time post. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in supporting the weekend service. To facilitate joint working there is an expectation that the two clinical leads will ensure there is some flexibility in how their hours are worked to enable regular face to face meetings.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality care and be open to change.
Owing to the nature of the work you will be required to be a car driver and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
With a CPD strategy we are committed to supporting and developing staff and you will be actively encouraged to continue your professional development
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
