We are looking for a reliable, committed and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to undertake a 6 month project around returns and waste management. Based at HRI, reporting to the Principal Pharmacy Technician and working closely with the Senior Medicines Management technicians, you will undertake work around reducing the number of returned drugs, including gathering and analysing data to enable the department to reduce the number of drugs not going to patients as well as stock issues on wards.

You should hold an NVQ level2 in pharmacy services, be a competent and confident dispenser and have a minimum of 1 years experience as a qualified pharmacy assistant . Further training will also be provided to support you in this role.

The successful applicant will take a pro-active approach, have excellent communication and customer service skills and be keen to embrace change and look at new ways of working.

To meet the changing needs of the service, the duties and working times attached to this post may be subject to reasonable change in the future. Participation in the late night, weekend ( 1 in 4) and Bank Holiday (including Christmas Day) working arrangements is a requirement of this post.

** Salary Figure relates to year 2 of 3 year NHS pay deal
