We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced orthoptist to support the development of Orthoptic services within the Trust. This is a full-time permanent position based at Hull Royal Infirmary. The Eye Department consists of a team of 15 Consultant Ophthalmologists, 11 Orthoptists as well as Optometry and Nursing colleagues. There is also the opportunity to be involved in Glaucoma monitoring clinics and wider support of the Ophthalmology service as the department develops.
This post is a permanent Band 7/6 dependent on previous experience and will be available from March 2020.
Applicants must hold a Degree or Diploma in Orthoptics and be registered with the HCPC with experience in all aspects of the orthoptic work load. Experience in the area of working with children with special needs and service development would be beneficial as would recent experience in research and writing service development documents.
