Perioperative Practitioner Women & Children’s Theatres
Women & Children’s Hospital
Hours: 0.67wte, 25 hours
Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a great place to work and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time enthusiastic peri-operative support worker to work in gynaecology, obstetric and paediatric theatres.
We are looking to recruit someone who can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work and has commitment, drive and enthusiasm to help develop our service within the Family & Women’s Health Group.
The elective obstetric list runs Monday-Friday mornings with 24/7 emergency obstetric care provided alongside close working relationships with the multi-disciplinary labour ward team.
The two gynaecology theatres run elective lists Monday to Friday with dedicated emergency sessions run jointly with paediatrics on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.
There will be an on-call commitment which entails ‘on call’ Saturday/Sunday and Bank Holidays 08.00 – 18.00 where the applicant would be required to attend the unit within one hour.
Experience is not essential but a background in the perioperative setting or other similar area is an advantage. In house training will be given with the support of a named preceptor and a training package. You must have a flexible attitude and be a team player who is committed to providing the best possible care for all our patients as well as meeting the needs of the service.
We are looking for candidates who are ready to meet this challenge and who share the Trust’s values of Care, Honesty and Accountability.
If shortlisted, you will be invited to an interview at the Women & Children’s Hospital where you will find out more about the role and working at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Interested? Please contact Tracey Whitlam, Tracey.email@example.com on 01482 602891 or Elizabeth Mathew Elizabeth.Mathew@hey.nhs.uk for additional details about the role or an informal visit. Good luck with your application!
