We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated technicians to become part of our rotational team working across three sites. The successful applicants will take a pro-active approach, have excellent customer service skills and be committed to patient and customer care.
This role is open to newly qualified, registered technicians as we operate a competency based training program to cover all areas within the department.
Rotational technicians work in all aspects of the pharmacy department including in-patients and outpatients dispensaries, distribution, clinical trials and aseptic services. They also have the opportunity to undertake an accredited checking qualification and participate in the medicines management service under the direction of the lead technicians.
Applicants should hold a BTEC level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science and NVQ3 in pharmacy services or equivalent pharmacy qualification, be registered with the GPhC and be willing to undertake a competency based training package to allow progression through this band.
The successful applicant will join a band 4 rotation working a Friday late stay night, and 1 in 4 weekends as well as participation in the bank holiday Rota. Part time hours must be worked over 3 longer days to meet the needs of the service, Full Time preferred but would accept 30 Hours.
Successful candidates will only be able to take up the post once registration with the GPHC is confirmed.
To meet the changing needs of the service, the duties and working times attached to this post may be subject to reasonable change in the future.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
