We are looking for a reliable, committed and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join the Pharmacy Education & Training team. Initially based at HRI, you will be expected to work on all sites within the Trust as required. Reporting to the Principal Pharmacy Technician and working closely with the Senior  technicians, you will assist in delivering the Education & Training strategy throughout the Trust as well as supporting other staff in medicines management issues.

You will also act as a mentor to other pharmacy assistants, and assist with the NVQ training in the department.

You should hold an NVQ level2 in pharmacy services, be a competent and confident dispenser and have a minimum of 1 years experience as a qualified pharmacy assistant in community or hospital pharmacy with experience in training and supervision of other staff.

 Further training will also be provided to support you in this role.

The successful applicant will take a pro-active approach, have excellent communication and customer service skills and be keen to embrace change and look at new ways of working.

To meet the changing needs of the service, the duties and working times attached to this post may be subject to reasonable change in the future. Participation in the late night, weekend ( 1 in 4) and Bank Holiday (including Christmas Day) working arrangements is a requirement of this post.
