An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered nurses to join our team in the Acute Medical Unit with Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals.
The unit takes all acute medical admissions direct from GP’s and the Emergency Department. It is exciting times as the unit is currently adopting new ways of working with a dedicated clinical decisions unit and High Observation area.
We require highly motivated, enthusiastic registered nurses to join our busy team. We work very closely with our colleagues in the Emergency Department and therefore excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
Applicants are required to be adaptable, flexible and have the ability to problem solve and work under pressure.
There may be exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working in other areas within Acute Medicine.
Alternatively we are also looking to recruit registered nurses to join our team in the Ambulatory Care Unit.
The unit takes Acute Ambulatory Medical admissions direct from GP’s and the Emergency Department. A variety of conditions are seen within the unit this includes, Pulmonary Embolism, DVT, Anaemia, Chest Pain, Cellulitis etc. An acute medical follow up clinic also is undertaken in the department for ongoing care and treatment.
There is the opportunity to develop phlebotomy and cannulation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Applicants are required to be adaptable, flexible and have the ability to problem solve and work under pressure
In both areas we offer a comprehensive training package with support from a Teacher Practitioner. Flexible working includes a rotational programme to all areas of the department.
