UPPER GI SURGERY TRUST GRADE DOCTOR – ST3-8 Level
The Department of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery is primarily based at Castle Hill Hospital and currently comprises Eight Consultants. Hull has been designated a Specialist Upper GI Cancer and is also a recognized Centre for bariatric surgery. It is a nationally renowned training center for minimally invasive surgery. The department has dedicated 27 bedded ward at Castle Hill Hospital.
This post is to start as soon as possible for 6 months with a view to possible extension . The post will include participation in the SpR on-call rota 2nd on call registrar supporting the Acute Surgery service delivered at the Hull Royal Infirmary and spend two weeks in elective surgery Upper GI ward in Castle Hill Hospital.
The new appointee will work with the consultant team to support the delivery of both elective and acute surgery work on both the Hull Royal and Castle Hill Hospital sites.

The post is ideal for an applicant with clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining any experience of General Surgery practice above ST2 level.
