Due to the retirement of the current post holder an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust Occupational Health Department for a professionally confident, articulate, bright and enthusiastic person for the position of Staff Nurse - Band 5.

The Occupational Health Department is a service based across the two sites of Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary and serves approximately 9,000 NHS employees. An Occupational Health provision is also provided to a number of external companies within the local area.

Ideally this role would be 30 hours per week however a minimum of 22.5 hours would be considered.

The role will incorporate the high quality delivery of Occupational Health services including health screening, health surveillance, health promotion and infection control. You will be working within a SEQOHS accredited Occupational Health Department as part of a multi-disciplinary team, although a high level of independent decision making skills would be expected as you would undertake clinics independently, once training has been completed and the post holder has been assessed as being competent to do so.

The requirements for applicants are an interest in workplace health and health promotion along with an enthusiasm to learn. Skills such as venepuncture and vaccination would be beneficial however are not essential as training packages for a wide range of skills are available.
