An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic motivated individual to come and join our dynamic specialist theatre team. The post is predominantly based in Scrub although we will expect rotation within scrub, recovery and possibly anaesthetics following adequate training if required.
The Breast ENT Plastics (Centenary) Theatres are located in a standalone department on the Castle Hill site comprising of 3 theatres and one recovery area. We perform a wide range of procedures within the three disciplines, including complex head and neck, breast and plastics reconstruction utilising modern technology and techniques. Our team is small and friendly and we work closely with Ward 16 and the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best experience for our patients is provided.
The posts will suit either an experienced or newly-qualified nurse / ODP although some theatre insight is desirable. We need a member of staff that is keen to learn, adaptable, able to work as part of a team, committed to improving quality and possessing good communication skills.
We can offer;
- A personal development plan and in-house training
- Work within a professional, friendly and dynamic team.
The service we provide is primarily elective surgery, working Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm although there is a 24hour on-call service and an expectation to work later when we have complex cases. Following a period of training, successful applicants will be expected to participate in the call rota. Future developments may further increase the need for weekend or unsocial hours work.
