Specialist Radiographer Cardiac Catheter Laboratories/Interventional Radiology Band 6

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated radiographers to join our team in the Cardiac Catheter Labs. We have 4 catheter labs undertaking a wide variety of procedures and a busy PPCI on call. We are a regional centre for complex PCI and devices and will soon be introducing TAVI.

You would also gain experience in the Interventional Radiology department at Hull Royal Infirmary where you would be involved in to rotation. There we are the regional centre for a range of vascular procedures, including EVAR; and neuro interventional procedures, involving complex intervention and acute thrombectomy for stroke.

There will be out of hours work and an on call rota for PPCI that applicants must be willing to take part in.

There are four cardiac cath labs at Castle Hill Hospital situated on the outskirts, approximately 5 miles away. Castle Hill is the regional cardio-thoracic and oncology centre. 

There are three interventional radiology theatres at Hull Royal Infirmary, situated near the city centre, 1 Neuro and 2 Vascular labs.

Minimum requirements are BSc or DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography and 2 years post qualification experience Role extension, CPD, and flexible working are actively supported, including an on-call commitment and Professional Development reviews are undertaken using E-PDR. In return, you will receive all the advice, training and support you need to go far.
The department is committed to the continuing education of our Radiographers. CPD is actively encouraged and supported with the Radiology department running a number of educational events throughout the year.
