Are you interested in developing your skills in vascular surgery and the rehabilitation of people following an amputation?
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work in this challenging and specialised area and develop your skills in vascular surgery and amputee rehabilitation.
Hull and East Yorkshire hospitals Trust is one of the largest in England and is a designated Vascular Centre undertaking surgery for a wide geographical area. You will be expected to work closely with Occupational Therapy colleagues and Senior Therapy assistants to support a 7 day service in this rewarding area of clinical work.
You will work alongside Clinical Lead staff to help deliver and co-ordination this busy service. To develop your skills across the whole of the lower limb amputation pathway you will also gain experience of prosthetic rehabilitation at Hull and East Yorkshire Artificial Limb unit.
The successful candidates will be expected to participate in audit opportunities as they present themselves
In addition to a willingness to deliver high quality care the successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills and be able to support the on-going development of this service
The Physiotherapy service has a comprehensive CPD strategy in place to support and develop the successful applicant. The successful applicant will be expected to participate on the respiratory On-call rota.
Car driver/owner essential for the post.
** Salary relates to year 1 of 3 year NHS pay deal
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
