Candidates are invited to apply for post of part-time Phlebotomy Team Leader in the Pathology Department at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

As a Phlebotomy Team Leader the post holder will work clinically alongside the phlebotomy team and participate in delivering a high quality, caring and efficient phlebotomy service to wards and departments at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital. Previous experience of phlebotomy or other clinical experience is essential as well as a good standard education to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Additionally, experience of dealing with patients, customers or clients in a healthcare environment is required.  The post holder will liaise with clinical staff to ensure a robust service and discuss service needs as appropriate. A pleasant nature, good communication and decision making skills as well as at least 2 years’ experience of supervising a team are essential.

Participation in weekend and bank holiday rota may be required depending on service needs.

The post holder will be required to supervise teams at both of the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospital sites and undertake training and competency assessment on an on-going basis.
