Trust Doctor - ST3 Paediatric Surgery

Applications are invited to apply Trust Doctor in Paediatric Surgery from as soon as possible for a period of six months with a view to a possible extension.
Trust Doctor – Education Package
As a Trust Doctor working with Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, you will be entitled to receive the following:
- A named Educational Supervisor
- 10 Study Days Leave per annum
- £500 of Study Leave Allowance per annum
- Access to an e-portfolio
- An assigned Appraiser and access to Multi-Source Feedback 360° (if required) and an Appraisal System
The appointee will have had previous Paediatric Surgical experience to a level comparable to at least ST2, will have evidence of progress in a surgical career and preferably will have middle level experience in a surgical specialty. They will have had experience in intravenous fluid access and administration, and will be able to demonstrate good communication skills.
This post will appeal to someone who would like to gain experience at middle grade level while also obtaining excellent clinical experience in Paediatric Surgery
Whilst this post is not officially approved by the Postgraduate Dean and does not receive Postgraduate Dean funding, we are however committed to providing a high standard of education and training for our junior staff, irrespective of whether they are in an educationally approved post or not.
The Department is situated on the Hull Royal Infirmary site. The Hull/York Medical School opened in September 2003. Medical students rotate through the department and active involvement in teaching will be encouraged.
There is an excellent Postgraduate Centre with library facilities on-site. Study for higher examinations is encouraged and study leave is available.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
