Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals is inviting applications for Consultant in Paediatric with specialist interest in Neuro-Disability. This post will provide exciting opportunities to make a real difference to the care of children of Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The Trust is seeking two highly motivated individuals who can realise the potential of the roles and directly influence both service delivery and the future development plans for the Paediatric services locally.
A key driver is to improve the overall patient experience and this is focused around providing a high quality, safe, responsive and coordinated service within the local and regional health area. The service is therefore looking to appoint individuals who have the vision, drive and commitment to work flexibly and are passionate about caring for children in Hull and surrounding areas.
These are exciting opportunities to work with the organisation and Directorate to further develop our Paediatric services in line with the Facing the Future document by RCPCH. As a service the emphasis is towards providing best possible care as much as locally as possible for the patients and their families.
The post holders will be joining the existing team in a journey of healthcare transformation. The journey is in the early stages where provision of the Community Paediatric service locally is being transitioned over the coming year from a private provider to the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. This provides opportunity to radically transform service delivery. The 2 post holders would work with the existing two consultants employed by the Acute Trust to further develop an integrated pathway for children with Complex disability and Cerebral Palsy.
The Community Paediatric Service hosted by the private provider includes 9 posts which includes 4 consultants, 3 associate specialists and 2 Nurse practitioners. These two posts are vacant posts within the existing Community Paediatric service. Post 1 will have the overarching role of contributing to the integrated complex disability pathway; Post 2 would support the pathway but would have additional statutory responsibilities
Please include in the additional information section of the application form the name of you current responsible officer, their contact details and your date of revalidation.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
