Applications are invited for the post of Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fixed Term post until 2nd October 2019 with a possible extension. The post includes sessions based at Diana, Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospitals and has been provisionally assessed as attracting 3 sessions under the new Specialty Doctor contract.
At present this post is part of the Humberside Oral ad Maxillofacial Surgery Consortium, comprising Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The exact duties may vary with forthcoming staff reconfiguration including the sessions within Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals Foundation Trust.
The Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute services from two hospital sites. The establishment of a Postgraduate Medical School and the close relationship with the Faculty of Health of the University of Hull, the Hull York Medical School, and the Academic Department in Leeds provides enhanced opportunities for collaborative research. The appointee will be expected to have at least three years of Hospital experience and be expected to have passed the MFDS examination or have equivalent. The appointees will be expected to have at least two years post-fellowship experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
