Services are based mainly at Queen’s Centre for Oncology and Haematology, Castle Hill Hospital and the duties will involve in and out patient care, acute oncology, radiotherapy & chemotherapy clinics and peripheral hospital clinics in Grimsby, Scunthorpe and Scarborough. There will be need to participate in the mid grade on call rota. The candidates will be encouraged to continuing professional development and gain Postgraduate qualifications in Oncology.
The Department relocated to the Castle Hill Hospital site in August 2008 within a new integrated 116-bedded Oncology/Haematology department as part of a £67m PFI initiative.
