LOCUM CONSULTANT IN OBSTETRICS & GYNAECOLOGY (1 post)

Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology based at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust for a 6 month period, providing services over seven days.

The post will enable us to maintain an adequate level of gynaecology activity against the background of a need for consultant cover of the labour ward. Options in relation to the labour ward cover are being reviewed currently in line with RCOG and national guidance and the successful applicants will be expected to work as partly resident and partly non-resident on call, although primarily they will provide on call for Obs & Gynaecology at Hull Royal Hospital.

The post holder will be expected to be actively involved with teaching. The post will be based at the Women's and Children's Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary in addition there will be an expectation to provide services across both main hospital sites. The post holder may also be required to contribute to the Termination of Pregnancy service if they do not have a conscientious objection to providing this service.
