Applications are invited for the post of Research Fellow in Medical Neurology.

Neurology services in Hull have developed rapidly over the last few years and there is an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement. You will join a team of 6 Consultants, 3 specialty doctors and 4 registrars. The department is involved in various clinical trials in headaches. The department is recognized as a Centre of excellence in headache services and research and has published extensively in last few years; there are opportunities to develop a dedicated research project for a higher degree. The department delivers sub-specially services in epilepsy, dementia, movement disorders and multiple sclerosis.

As a Trust Doctor taking up one of these positions you will receive:
• A named Educational Supervisor
• 10 Study Days Leave per annum
• £500 of Study Leave Allowance per annum
• Access to an e-portfolio
• An assigned Appraiser and access to 360 Edgecombe Appraisal System

These posts do not hold a National Training Number

The Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute services from three hospital sites with some specialised services aimed at an extended catchment area of 1.2 million people. The Trust now forms part of the Hull York Medical School with both the NHS Trusts and Universities of Hull and York.

The interested candidate should have completed at least three years full-time postgraduate training or its equivalent gained experience on a part time or flexible basis. Neurology experience at a junior level is desirable.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
