Band 5 Biomedical Scientist

Full time 37.5 hours/week

A vacancy has arisen within the microbiology laboratory for enthusiastic and dedicated Biomedical Scientists to join the team and play an important role in the day to day running of the laboratory.We are looking for well-motivated, enthusiastic Biomedical Scientists to complement our existing team providing a diagnostic service for the Hull and East Yorkshire area.

The role requires the suitable candidate to work in all sections of the laboratory at the Hull Royal Infirmary site of this laboratory. This is a well-equipped, laboratory providing a wide range of specialised and routine tests and handling approximately 500,000 specimens per year.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly, this includes weekends, late nights (presently until 8pm), bank holidays and on call when competent.

Candidates should possess a BSc in biomedical science or equivalent which is recognised by the HCPC for registration, or have HCPC registration.
