Band 7/band 8a depending on experience.

There is also the opportunity to be appointed as a band 7 and undergo a development programme to move up to a band 8a once key skills development have been demonstrably achieved. 

Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust have an ambitious Improvement Programme supported by its Improvement Project and Programme Management Office. Our programmes, which span theatres, outpatients and the urgent and emergency care programme, are seeking to radically improve patient experience and outcomes, productivity and flow. A vacancy has arisen in our team of Senior Project Managers. Working to the Programme Manager for the Outpatients Programme, and supported by the dedicated programme administrators and analyst, the successful candidate will provide expert project management and service improvement support to projects which are high profile and clinically led. 

We are looking for someone who is tenacious, experienced and highly organised, with proven project management abilities and track record. This role will allow the successful individual a fantastic opportunity to shape, deliver and embed long-term sustained improvements to advance the services we offer to our patients and to play a key role in the ongoing transformation of this Trust. 

Guided by strong and supportive leadership, the team is expected to undertake all elements of effective project design, scoping, implementation, measurement and sustainability in often complex, challenging and important aspects of the Trust’s services. The role will give you the opportunity make genuine and significant improvements to the Trust to improve quality, safety and value in the services we offer. Moreover, the exciting and ambitious plans set out by the programme will ensure you play a crucial and central role in this interesting and significant undertaking.

If you are a self-starter, able to work efficiently and independently and to challenging deadlines, with a passion for developing patient services, coupled with excellent communication skills then this is the post for you.  You will work in a highly visible Trust wide capacity, with a wide array of both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders and at all levels of the organisation and wider health economy. You must have excellent communication, analytical, presentational and engagement skills and be both effective and comfortable operating within a fast paced and demanding environment.
