An opportunity has arisen for an experienced secretary to join the Oncology/Haematology/Immunology secretarial teams. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high level secretarial support to the clinical team, typing of clinical correspondence, dealing with telephone queries as well as liaison with patients and medical staff to support the 18 week referral to treatment pathway.
To succeed you must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure. RSA II, education to GSCE level and excellent computer/IT skills are essential. You must also be able to demonstrate ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
