A vacancy has arisen for the post of Finance Manager to support the Research & Development Department, working within the Daisy Centre at Castle Hill Hospital.
You will be responsible for providing professional financial advice to managers and clinicians. To succeed you will lead the provision of accurate and timely finance business intelligence, assist in the production of strategic financial plans and assist in developing major grant applications.
Working closely with external stakeholders such as the University of Hull and the Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Research Network (Y&H CRN), you will ensure financial information supports strategic decision making and business planning.
If you have a positive, business like attitude, a Qualified Accountant (or Passed Finalist with an ambition to obtain full professional accounting qualification) awarded by a UK FRC regulated accounting body i.e. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA (or equivalent) and significant experience of in a complex organisation, we would like to hear from you.
You should also have demonstrable experience of option appraisals, working as part of multi-disciplinary team and positively influencing and leading others on financial issues that may run counter to their instincts.
The successful post holder could be contracted to work either part-time (minimum of 22.5 hours per week) or full time. Should the successful person be full-time they will also work in the Corporate Finance team supporting other areas of the Trust such as Corporate Directorates and the Trust-wide Efficiency programme.

** Salary relates to year 1 of 3 year NHS pay deal, Year 2 will be available from April 1st 2019
