An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust for an experienced, innovative and motivated individual to lead and manage our Bank and e-Roster Teams.

Over the last five years the Trust has made significant investment into the e-Roster and Bank team and associated software including the purchase of the SafeCare, Insights and Medic modules. The teams are actively supporting clinical and non-clinical colleagues to achieving the Carter Recommendations and the Trust has become a reference site for other Trusts aspiring to achieve our success.

The role of the Manager is to ensure all aspects of the e-Roster and Staff Bank service complements the Trusts aspirations to ensure the right staff, with the right skills are in the right place to deliver high quality, safe and effective patient care.

The successful candidate will need to utilise their clinical knowledge and experience to influence cultural changes in relation to the cost effective and efficient use of permanent and temporary staffing resources across a number of staffing groups, clinical and non-clinical, within the Trust.

The understanding and processing of information to aid decision making is vital for the successful candidate to capitalise on the workforce and e-Rostering efficiencies being sought by the Trust and the wider NHS.

The successful candidate will lead the e-Roster and Staff Bank teams working closely with colleagues across the Trust and colleagues within the Employee Service Centre including Human Resources, Payroll and Medical Staffing.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a track record of achievement in a senior nurse/midwifery role, who has an understanding of the Allocate, or similar, software and has knowledge of policies and processes effecting rotas and the safe deployment of staff.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
