An opportunity has arisen for a second colorectal cancer clinical nurse specialist to work alongside the existing Macmillan Colorectal Cancer Nurse Specialist based at Castle Hill Hospital.

The post holder will be required to work across sites according to the demands of the service and will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide a timely and seamless transition into other services as required based on Holistic Needs Assessments.

The post holder will join the team to provide support, information, continuity and care for patients across the cancer pathway through diagnosis to end of treatment.  

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and pro-active individual who is able to develop new ways of working within a developing team. Furthermore, an individual who has an understanding and experience of working  with people who have complex health needs within a cancer environment.

The post holder must possess excellent communication skills.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
