The ward and unit are very busy environments, specialising in acute stroke interventions such as thrombolysis and thrombectomy. The Hyper Acute Stroke Unit is the critical care area of the ward, providing the post holder with experience working alongside one the units’ four specialist band 6 HASU co-ordinators.

This will require the successful candidate to be enthusiastic in delivering excellent care and enhancing the patient experience. post will involve candidates to Co-ordinate the pathway of care for stroke patients admitted to the Acute Hospital setting, prioritising patient access to and from the Acute Stroke Unit and providing supportive outreach to outlying patients.

We require motivated and dedicated individuals to provide the very best in patient care, along with the ability to work efficiently within in a very busy environment, and provide teaching and knowledge to our junior members of staff, The post holder must have previous band 6 experience, teaching experience desirable but not essential and the desire to enhance their nursing skills within the speciality.
