An opportunity has arisen for a secondment position with the Acute Oncology Service/Cancer of Unknown Primary Clinical Nurse Specialist Team.
AO and CUP are emerging specialities within Cancer Care requiring distinct pathways and coordination to ensure optimum patient safety and experience. the service is therefore looking for an enthusiastic individual to work within the team to develop and support the service.
The postholder will take the lead for AOS, supported by the exisiting post holder and provide cross cover for the CUP service as required.
The post holder will be expected to work accross sites according to the demands of the service. Currently this is a five day Mon- Fri service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and pro-active individual who is able to develop new ways of working within a fast paced speciality. You will need a indepth understanding of the challenges of working with people with complex health needs. The post holder must possess excellent communication skill and working in a high pressure environment.
**Salary relates to year 1 of 3 year NHS pay Deal
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
