Applications are invited for 3 ST3 level Trust Doctors in Acute Medicine based at the Hull Royal Infirmary, commencing from 01/08/2018 for 12 months initially. The successful applicant will work on the Acute Medical Unit, Ambulatory Care Unit and the Medical Short stay ward. There will be designated time in their job plan to develop an area of special interest or special skill.
Applicants must hold full GMC registration and should have also achieved MRCP qualifications. UK experience is essential. Applicants should also possess the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, have good interpersonal skills, have a caring attitude to patients, have good communication skills to allow communication within different groups and must also have a commitment to continuing their medical education
The Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute services from 2 hospital sites serving a local population of 600,000 The Medical Admissions Unit is located at Hull Royal Infirmary and provided an admission service for GP and A&E .
The Trust now forms part of the Hull York Medical School with both the NHS Trusts and Universities of Hull and York.
The Department of Acute Medicine consists of 7 Consultants (7WTE), 3 Specialist Registrars (including acute medicine trainee on rotation),14 (CMTs, F1 /F2 ).

As a Trust Doctor working with Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, you will be entitled to receive the following:

Hull is a thriving university city and currently UK City of Culture. It has excellent shopping and leisure facilities including concert halls, theatres and recently the largest aquarium in Europe. It is surrounded by attractive villages and countryside with the Minster town of Beverley only 8 miles from HRI and 4 miles from CHH. It is within easy reach of the Yorkshire Moors and Dales and the East Coast. It has excellent road and rail links with the rest of Britain, as well as ferry and air links to Europe.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
