Scan4Safety is an initiative which aims to combine healthcare and technology whilst putting the patient at the centre of the project. The Scan4Safety project intends to rollout across all of the specialities within the hospital in due course.
This team has been created to develop the planning, work with the specialities, implement, review and track the benefits of scanning the 4 P’s (Patient, Product, Place and Process)
If you want to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment where you are required to work as part of a team which will be working across both hospital sites, then this could be the right job for you!
The teams will be focussing on understanding the patient journey, setting the data up, and making sure that the processes reflect the patient journey. Then once each area is fully trained and implemented we will start to review and capture the benefits.
This is a hands on role, which will require you to have a genuine interest in data (and masses of it) from various collection points, both data warehouses, live streaming data and data which requires manipulation.
Your role will be to gather, format and start to understand the data, presenting patterns, trends, reports and analytical presentations all of which can be used by our clinicians, our planners and our management teams to fully understand and improve the patient journey and experience.
Your eye for detail will enable you to spot when data is inaccurate or requires further investigation and you will need to be comfortable to be around the theatres and surgical teams as this will form part of your working environment.
Your role is to equip the rest of the team the data to go and do their jobs, but also to present the data and findings to stakeholders across the hospital, this may include senior executives and managers.
You must be able to work with many programs and systems and be flexible and open to learn new systems as they go live.
You will be working with the Scan4Safety team members to support the rollout so each area will be different, and in the run up to the “go live” date, you may be required to work extra hours, which will be given back as days in lieu or paid as overtime.
The interview process will take the form of an assessment centre whereby you will be given exercises and possibly scenario’s and asked to put together details based on information which will be provided. There will also be an interview.
** Salary relates to year 1 of 3 year NHS pay Deal with year 2 available from April 1st 2019
