An exciting opportunity has arisen for 5 Full time Registered Nurses to join our busy Cardiology ward, ward 28 is a general cardiology ward looking after a variety of patients with cardiology conditions, a very fast paced ward every day has fresh challenges. rotation to the Cardiac Monitoring Unit (CMU) is required, this is a 10 bedded level 2 critical care unit situated at the end of ward 28 and is the first point of contact for the Primary PCI service. patients are directly admitted 24 hours a day 7 days a week, to the tertiary referral center, and this is a predominately nurse led service, requiring in depth knowledge of ECG's and cardiology conditions and management. This is a great learning environment and very rewarding.
We require hard-working, flexible individuals to work within our team and support the wards vision going forward. You should have excellent communication skills and a desire to work within the multidisciplinary team delivering a co-ordinated approach to high quality safe patient care. You will have to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as well as within a dedicated team.
The hours of work will include 24/7 internal rotation days and nights. However please do not be put off applying if you have any specific requests regard shift patterns/days/nights worked, as the Ward Sister is happy to discuss and accommodate where possible.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
