We are looking for a high caliber experienced Business Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of safe and effective clinical services within the Family & Women’s Health Group at Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, ensuring that all performance standards, statutory requirements, deadlines and objectives are delivered.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a forward thinking experienced health care professional. Reporting directly to the Divisional General Manager the post holder will have a high level of autonomy and will work in a self-directed way within the parameters set for the post.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential in this role as well as experience of creating successful partnerships with external stakeholders.

We will be looking for significant proven experience as a senior manager within an NHS organisation with specialist knowledge of managing acute clinical services and consistently achieving results and targets.

The successful applicant must have high level people management skills, including decision making, negotiating, influencing and persuading skills.  Contribution to the strategic development of services is an essential part of this role.

The Family and Women’s Health Group provide the following services: -

  • Community Paediatric Services
  • Paediatric Medicine
  • Neonatology
  • Paediatric Surgery
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology including Gynaecological Oncology
  • Breast Surgery Service
  • Ophthalmology
  • Dermatology
  • Department of Plastic Surgery
  • Ear Nose and Throat including Head and Neck Cancer Service

This post is to manage the Breast, ENT, Plastic Surgery and Dermatology specialities.

The Hull University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust has an annual budget of circa £440 million, employs approximately 8,000 staff and serves an extended population of 1.2 million. The Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute services from three hospital sites and we are committed to the continuous development of services for the benefit of patients and to providing a comprehensive service of the highest possible quality.
