Ward 30, 31, 32 and 33 in the Queens Centre CHH have vacancies for enthusiastic nurses to join a progressive nursing team who provide care for patients with cancer with a variety needs.
The Queens Centre is a state of the art department treating oncology and haematology in-patients across four wards. In addition to a fantastic building we also invest in our staff and offer comprehensive ‘in-house’ training and recommended pathways for further education relevant to the care of cancer patients including opportunities to complete the Chemotherapy Competency course. As part of our commitment to the post holder Clinical supervision is available to all staff in this post encouraging the wellbeing of our staff.
This speciality requires the post holder will be professional and have a positive problem solving approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver high standards of fundamental care to their patients.
A willingness to develop evidence based practices and with supervision you will develop an expert knowledge of cancer, symptom management and treatments. As well as achieving skills in emotional and psychological support during challenging circumstances.
** Salary figure relates to year 1 of 3 year NHS pay deal
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
