Ward 33 has a vacancies for an enthusiastic nurse to join a progressive nursing team who provide care for patients with Haematological cancers.

The Queens Centre is a state of the art department treating oncology and haematology patients with 99 in-patient beds across four wards. In addition to a fantastic building we also invest in our staff and offer comprehensive ‘in-house’ training and recommended pathways for further education relevant to the care of cancer patients.

The department requires the post holder to have a willingness to develop their scope of practice and with supervision you will develop a sound knowledge of cancer, symptom management and treatments. Good communication skills and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team are essential, as patients are cared for between ward and clinic areas. It is essential for the post holder to be willing to work towards a post basic qualification in cancer and palliative care.
