An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Queens Centre for Oncology and Haematology Cancer Assessment Unit (CAU). We require an enthusiastic, dynamic and dedicated Sister/Charge Nurse to be the guardian of high quality patient care working alongside the Senior Matron and Nurse Director.
The post holder will work with the other Charge Nurses/Sisters across all departments in the Queen’s Centre and has the authority and continuing responsibility for the management of nursing care, staff, the environment, organisation of the CAU area and other specified resources devolved to his or her control.
We require the post holder to have managed patients in either an acute or cancer care setting and have management experience of at least Band 6 level. They will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients, and be instrumental in developing and leading the service. The post holder should educated to degree level or a willingness to undertake further study.
Figures reflect year one of a three year pay deal
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
