An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates, Facilities and Development Directorate for enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals to work with the Hotel Services team as a Monitoring Officer. A full time [37.5 hour] post is available.
The role will involve undertaking audits against agreed specifications i.e. The National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS [April 2007] or other key performance indicators [KPIs] and external contracts.
The role will also support the Assistant Hotel Services Manager in ensuring high standards of performance are attained within a number of contracted and in-house Estates, Facilities and Development [EF&D] services.
Applicants should have a minimum 2 years operational knowledge of facilities related services, recent supervisory experience, a sound knowledge of Health & Safety particularly in relation to cleaning.
IT skills and knowledge of quality monitoring systems are essential.
There will also be a requirement to monitor all aspects of the patient environment covering the standards set in the Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment [PLACE] programme.
The successful applicant will cover two sites, Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital and be expected to travel between hospitals at short notice; physical effort and frequent walking will also be required.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
