An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Critical Care Clinical Nurse Education Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about teaching and training. You must have extensive experience of nursing within Critical Care and evidence of teaching experience.  The successful candidate will be based predominantly at CHH, but must be prepared to work across both HRI and CHH sites if required

Duties will include supporting new staff to critical acre and participating in direct clinical training at the bedside as well as structured teaching sessions for small groups of staff. You will work with trained mentors and senior staff to assist with setting objectives and assessing competency of nursing staff in critical care.

There may be occasions where you are required to support nurse education on a wider scale for the organisation as a whole which may involve a mixture of clinical and theoretical class room education. You will also be required to deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients on any unit  at times of unit pressure and or to assist junior staff that require support at the bedside.

You must have extensive clinical knowledge of all  aspects of critical care, you must be confident to share knowledge and undertake teaching sessions and make assessments of  professional practice, be able to action plan and set objectives to enhance competency where necessary. The ideal candidate should have minimum 5 years clinical practice in critical care and ideally hold post registration qualification and have either proven teaching history and or teaching qualification.
