Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen to work in a busy innovative IQIPs accredited department located in the heart of Yorkshire.  The department covers both rural and city areas serving a  population of approximately 590,000 living in the city of Kingston-upon-Hull and surrounding districts of East Yorkshire including the historic town of Beverley. 

Staff & Facilities

The department has a permanent staff of 20.07wte. We are a friendly team comprising of Clerical staff, Audiologists & Clinical Scientists, and a further 7.28wte Hearing Screeners working together as a close knit unit.

The department has excellent links with Leeds and Aston University and provides a range of placements for both establishments with support from highly qualified Audiology mentors.

You will be based within a modern facility at Castle Hill Hospital located within Cottingham, Nr Hull; with opportunities to work at new health centres within the catchment.  All clinical rooms have the benefit of up-to-date test & rehabilitation equipment as well as digital hearing aids.

A full range of diagnostic audio-vestibular procedures are offered at Castle Hill Hospital with specialist tests carried out at the University of Hull.

Short term and longer term accommodation is available onsite to support relocation needs.

What are we looking for?

Applications from new graduates are welcomed as this post offers a great opportunity to consolidate and develop your skills.  The successful candidate will have an Audiology BSc or equivalent with a view to registration with the RCCP.

What will you be doing?

Duties will include ENT clinic support, performing a full range of diagnostic tests and the provision of digital hearing aids fitted in accordance with national and local recommended procedures. The work is primarily adult based but there will be opportunities to work with the paediatric population.
