Fixed term contract 9 months

We are looking for an Assistant Audiologist to join a team of friendly and enthusiastic staff based at Castle Hill Hospital.

The Audiology Department sees patients of all ages. We undertake tests of hearing and balance for the diagnosis of hearing disorders, and provide a comprehensive digital hearing aid service. Our services extend to neighbouring hospitals and clinics serving a population of about 570,000.

Assistant audiologists make routine adjustments, repairs and standard tests to hearing aids and earmoulds and take aural impressions that are used to make new earmoulds. Previous experience in audiology is not required because suitable training will be given, but applicants should have a good general education and GCSEs or their equivalents, preferably in science subjects.  A-levels in science-related subjects would be an advantage.  A personality appropriate to working with patients is essential and previous experience using hospital patient management systems is an advantage.
